Ken is a self-taught painter who lives year-round in Port Clyde, Maine. Tall evergreens, ocean wildlife, working waterfronts and lighthouses inspire him. Working from his home studio, he explores diverse themes and ideas in his paintings and drawings as he develops still-lifes, portraits, landscapes, marine pieces and more. His aim is to make art that is timeless, attractive and captivating.
Ken grew up in Connecticut. After high-school, he received a degree in Film Production from Boston University. Upon graduation, he moved to Los Angeles and spent the better part of the '90s in the world of post-production as a film editor of television commercials. New England called him back, and he returned, finally indulging his passion for art and painting. His art may be viewed and purchased directly from his studio in Port Clyde by appointment.
